The United Kingdom Scent Hound Association is a charitable organisation. All of our services are completely free for you to use.

We provide a UK wide tracking service for wounded Deer and Boar using scenthounds trained to International standards. The dogs are capable of finding a wounded or dead animal up to and sometimes over 72hrs after it has been injured, often over several kilometres.

The UKSHA team are here to help at any time for advice and to track when needed. We do not take payment for this service, we only wish to help end the suffering of deer and wild boar. The earliest possible contact gives everyone the chance to follow up and recover that animal as quickly as possible and determining the strike and shot placement is vital when the follow up is started.

Take a look on the 'Follow up' page for vital information on what to do after the shot is taken and before going in and pushing the beast on.

Finding that shot site gives you all the information you need to know how it is best proceed to recovery of the animal.

The UKSHA only use scent hounds, we have both the Hannoverscher Schweißhund(HS) and the Bayrische Gebirgsschweißhunde(BGS).

Two clubs ensure the purity of breeding and traditional use of these hounds. The Verein Hirschmann e.V for the HS and the Klub für Bayerische Gebirgsschweißhunde 1912 e.V. for the BGS.

All our members are also members of (or aspiring to be members of) one or more of these clubs. We have their full co-operation and support in the UK.

We have also recently received sponsorship from Blaser (rifles), Zeiss (optics) and Pfanner (protective clothing) along with Clark forest.

This is a 24/7 free service in the strictest of confidence
